• Review of "Bent Anchor Bar & Restaurant" at Combermere

  Evelyne and Don are the new owners of the Bent Anchor as of May 2014 and I visited a couple of nights in their first opening week. Tried the special Chicken Wings the first night and the next night ordered the same in a double order, yes I loved them. We chatted laughed and had fun, they were a little slow so they had time. They know on weekends and in the summer they will be busy so they are enjoying getting to know their new neighbours who stop in for a meal. The Place was in great shape for a little shack on the rivers edge, and I will bring more friends there in the future. They are big on Gluten Free items, so my wife and son will enjoy when they visit after school is finished.

  Our families have been there for the past 11 years. All of the cabins have always been clean and are frequently updated! The water is great and so are the views! The recreation room and pool are well maintained and are kept clean. The owners and staff are genuine and friendly! Great place to stay for a gateway experience without leaving all of the modern amenities back home! I would recommend this place to anyone at any time! 10/10
